Writing
Dear X,
How is it going? Sorry for not writing so long. The thing is I have been busy these days taking my school exams and applying to the Lviv University. I managed to apply on Friday, so it gave me a unique chance to be present at the exhibition of a worldwide known artist Leonardo da Vinci
To start with I’m deeply impressed by/with large gamut of knoweldge he had. Obviously, da Vinci was an outstanding forerunner of his epoc in various areas like art, architecture, engineering, music, literature, math, botany, astronomy, etc. Nowadays, he is predominatetly/mostly known as one of the greatest painters of all time.
Well, you know, it is time to say a couple of words about the exhibition of his paintings I visited last weekend. Have you ever imagined that a painting can be reproduced unlimited times in different styles and by many generations of painters. ‘Mona Lisa’ (that is what I am talking of) is considered to be the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world.
The exhibiton represented about 100 copies of this masterpiece painted by different artists in different times. It is pretty difficult to me to express all my emotions and feelings conserning the whole exhibition and the reproduction of ‘Mona Lisa’ in particular.
On the whole, this event was a rare but precious/valuable opportunity to enrich my intellectual and sensible inner world. The occasion included both interesting facts and perfect paintings.
Share with something you saw or visited.
Bye for now,
Dima
