Today, travel is easy. You can get in a car and go anywhere you want. But what was life like before cars? People had to travel by carriages, on horses or on foot. Journeys were very long and boring.
The history of cars began in the 1880s when German engineers Benz and Daimler built the first petrol car. In 1889 Scottish vet John Dunlop invented rubber tyres, so driving became more comfortable. Between 1908 and 1928 American businessman Henry Ford started making cheap cars and more people started bying them.
So, what's next? What about cars with robot drivers?
